C5 Convention 2026

In this section we will be sharing our experiences while attending the C5 (Council) Convention in Bloomington, MN. C5 Conventions happen on an annual basis. All announcements pertaining to the C5 Convention will be shared within our Meeting Minutes, C5 Union page on Facebook, Instagram and also located in Memberlink. During convention, much like the IU Convention, we will vote on Resolutions and Amendments that change the Constitution. Our delegates will keep in mind how our members feel and vote accordingly. During even numbered years, just like with our local, we will vote on new E-Board members at different levels of the C5 E-Board. At convention there were thousands of AFSCME delegates from the whole state in attendance.

This year we had a great mix of delegates in attendance from our Local and you know how it is...no pictures no proof! As we get to know other members from different unions, we get to share our different points of view and experiences and struggles. Building connections or reconnecting with individuals we don't get to see all the time.
